Intro For this project we had to chose a 'family recipe' once we chose our family recipe we had to write the history on it since I'm Spanish 3 I had to write in Spanish. When we were finished with that we had to make a video in Spanish on how to make the food we chose. Once all of our videos were finished, we had to present the videos to our class and bring samples of the food for them to enjoy. Then we did our recipe pages, which we had to write in Spanish and English. This assignment helped me improve on my Spanish speaking and writing skills.
Improvements For this assignment It was required that we had to film 2 times. Our draft and the final video, we had a gallery walk and our peers critiqued our videos. I got some really good feedback by a peer such as having better lighting, I should try recording from different angles and be more cheerful (grab the persons attention). I took that feedback to consideration and my final video came out better than I thought it would.
Reflection Something I'm proud of was being able to present my video to the class, even though I was outside the class when it was being presented. I honestly didn't know its hard to record and edit a video.
Future If I were to do this project again I would put less pressure on myself. I was nervous to show my cooking video to my class, wondering what my classmates might say. I would also push myself to make my history paper better.
Key moment I wasn't able to give everyone a sample of the food I made because I presented right when second period was going to end so people were leaving to their other classes but some janitors came into the room I was in and wanted to pay me so tell could get a sample of the food, which surprised me. I didnt take their money, but they loved the sample.
