Introduction
MUN stands for Model United Nations, during week three of this second semester we got assigned a country that we had to represent at a conference at the University of San Diego. For this assignment we had to research articles, writes essays and much more. We all represented a country and discussed the problems each of our country had, food security, GMOs, gender equity and agricultural technology. At the end we got into 2 groups and we figured out ways we could solve the problems each country was facing, by writing resolutions (what were the resolutions?) During this project I found many useful articles. This one was one of the articles "FAO Country Profiles:Malaysia." FAO Country Profiles:Malaysia. N.p., n.d. Web. 17 Feb. 2017. http://www.fao.org/countryprofiles/index/en/?iso3=MYS This article talks about how in 1957 Malaysia became an a official member of the FAO organization. FAO is trying to improve on the nutritional value on food, agriculture products and reducing post harvest on food loses. This was really important because this was the most important part we had to know. This is good because this country is trying to make an effort by resolving the problems they problems. I struggled to submit work on time because of personal problems/procrastinated. I would get distracted and wouldn't focus on what I had to do. I am proud that I attended this conference it was a great experience. I honestly thought I wasn't going to say anything but I ended up saying many things. Even though sometimes I felt that I didn't make sense. If I were to do this project again I would be more organized, use my class time more wisely, ask more for help and get my work done on time. I would turn in my assignments a little late which affected my grade and spiraled out of control as the new assignments were related to the ones I hadn't completed. I was nervous/scared to go up and say my opening speech, but once I started talking I felt really confident and I knew what I was saying. I was really happy with myself. Even though everyone had to say there opening speech. |
